Maternity Photos

I recommend scheduling your maternity session before 34 weeks, so we don't schedule too close to your due date. (If you're over 34 weeks, no worries, I will do my best to get you in!) This session is usually 30-45 minutes and can be done with your partner and children. Depending on the time of year, we can do these photos in the comfort of your own home, outdoors at sunset, or at a local indoor location.

During your maternity session I will gently pose you and your partner. I aim to make you feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera.

My goal is to capture the emotions that you're feeling as you get ready to welcome your little love.

Newborn Photos

Newborn sessions are 90 minutes and always done in the comfort of your own home. You can schedule yours as soon as you're ready. (Scheduling is flexible, for our late/early arrivals and if any other complications should arise.) Typically, for the most sleepy, scrunched newborn look this will be done within two weeks of birth. However, even at a month old, your baby looks tiny and fresh, so don't fret if you think you missed the boat!

My newborn sessions are kept very simple so we can show the uniqueness of your child. I will bring just a few neutral wraps, blankets and posing bean bag for some solo shots of your baby. Your session will include a variety of photos, including photos with parents, siblings and alone.

For your session, I will need a minimum of one naturally lit space in your home. (Most choose the nursery, sofa, or main bedroom for newborn photos). Your space doesn't need to be super clean or perfect but it does help to move any clutter out of the way. On the day of your session you can prepare by bumping up the heat slightly if it's chilly, dressing your baby in just a swaddle and clean diaper and having a feed before I arrive. Sometimes it helps to have a noise machine or shusher, and a pacifier on hand to relax your baby.

If you're not sure how to dress for your session, please reach out.

All sessions include an all-inclusive gallery with your custom edited images. Number of photos will vary depending on the session you choose. (There are usually far more than you'd imagine!) From your gallery you'll have the ability to download and share your images, as well as order prints. (I only recommend ordering prints from your gallery. I work with a lab to ensure your images are accurate in color and quality.) Travel fees will apply to sessions over 25 miles from my 55406 location. A non-refundable retainer fee is due when booking your session. Your session will not be considered booked until it has been paid. Taxes will be applied. If you should need to reschedule or there is a weather event please be in contact with Amanda ASAP to make new arrangements.
